Tent Relocation & Foundation Demolition

Project completed in 2017

Project Details

In 2017, KDM Constructors and CORE Industrial successfully completed the relocation of a Norseman tent at BHP’s Jansen site. The project scope involved modifications to the steel I-beam frame, working with subcontractors to raise the tent and frame, set it onto mobile hydraulic dollies, and relocate it to its new, temporary location. Once the tent move was complete, KDM and CORE Industrial used a hydrovac to expose buried cables, then removed the cable from the trenches, and backfilled and compacted. The concrete footings and pad from the tent’s previous location was demolished using an excavator with a breaker attachment. KDM and CORE were able to work in unison to complete this project in a timely manner, without any safety incidents.
