The scope of this project was to construct a green-field solid waste transfer facility on the Ochapowace First Nation community. The work involved:
- Mobilization, of equipment, labour & temporary facilities for construction
- Clearing & grubbing of trees along access road and SWTS footprint
- Removing surficial organics and unsuitable material from the footprint area
- Widening an existing access road and construction new approach roads
- Preparing the SWTS facility footprint area
- Constructing the waste drop -off platform including retaining wall and various safety items
- Supplying and installing a chain link fence
- Supplying and erection buildings
- Supplying and installing electrical systems
- Supplying and installing items for the Solid Waste Diversion Infrastructure
- Supplying and installing signage for the SWTS facility
- Replacing topsoil and seeding
- Site cleanup and demobilization
