Project Details

The scope of this project was to construct a green-field solid waste transfer facility on the Ochapowace First Nation community. The work involved:

  • Mobilization, of equipment, labour & temporary facilities for construction
  • Clearing & grubbing of trees along access road and SWTS footprint
  • Removing surficial organics and unsuitable material from the footprint area
  • Widening an existing access road and construction new approach roads
  • Preparing the SWTS facility footprint area
  • Constructing the waste drop -off platform including retaining wall and various safety items
  • Supplying and installing a chain link fence
  • Supplying and erection buildings
  • Supplying and installing electrical systems
  • Supplying and installing items for the Solid Waste Diversion Infrastructure
  • Supplying and installing signage for the SWTS facility
  • Replacing topsoil and seeding
  • Site cleanup and demobilization
