Constructed a site pad and an access roadway on a green field meter station site with dimensions approximately 143 metres x 98 metres for TransGas.
Considerations for this earthworks project were 200 millimetres and 300 millimetres pipelines and a block valve. The scope of work included civil works and the supply of non-native materials for the construction of the access road and complete site pad.
Site pad work was comprised of:
- Contact Saskatchewan 1st Call for underground line locating.
- Removal of topsoil and pockets of poor-quality material.
- Cut and fill native material to design elevations, utilizing cut material from high areas of the site as well as native material excavated in preparation for the installation of structural fill.
- Drainage swales, culverts, berms, geogrid, gravel, topsoil replacement and seeding.
- Provided a quality control package consisting of compaction test results and specifications of structural fill used.
